ORACLE REPORTS - PORTUGESE characters error while displaying

Hi Gurus,

At oracle reports i have requirement to display below kind of description at line level.

Este serviço não está sujeito a retenção do PIS/COFINS/CSLL - Lei nº.

This text is Portugese, at oracle rdf do  we have any option to set and display those values in the report level. I know it might be possible through DATA defintion template. But report is already designed via Oracle Reports(RDF) tool using XML publisher template. Currently we are r12 version, if any inputs in this regard is greatly appreciated.
