Mirror pool with different disk alignment

My company is purchasing a new NetApp SAN to replace an existing NetApp (basically a newer model).

Whilst there are lots of option to migrate, I have a question in relation to Zpool mirrors for Solaris 10 u11.  Can you zpool attach a disk device to an existing single disk pool with different ashift values?

A little background on the problem I am curious about, in the hope I can maximise uptime and learn something new...

When our T4-2 servers were set up, the setting within /kernel/drv/ssd.conf was missed to set the physical-block-size:4096.  The result was all the multipathed zpools created got an ashift=9 meaning they are not correctly aligned.  Live and learn.  But the setting has now been added and so we expect all new pools to have the correct ashift=12 (note we havent had a chance to test this yet as we've had no need to have new storage created on the old NetApp).

Howdy, Stranger!
