Is there a fix for "member is not valid for the member list" message in data forms

I saw in the 11.1.2.2 Readme doc that web data forms have a known issue for this (comment from readme shown below), but I haven't been able to find anything on whether these is a fix or patch for this.   Does anyone have any ideas, other than going to a newer version?  Yes, the form still will work, but I'd like to make my end users less confused.  Thanks.

12976638 - In a Web data form, when you select a member from the Hierarchy member list, the system may incorrectly display an error that the member is not valid for the list.
