RHEL 5.3 Platform Migration question

Dear Competent,

Now we have Oracle ERP v12.1.1 with database v11 r1 running on RHEL 5.3 as a production Server (Multi tier) ... we want to make OS upgrade to RHEL7 or even RHEL 6.x ( to enjoy ext4 file system advantages & ..etc)

Is that recommended or we will face some known issues ?

& if it's recommended .. what main points to take into considerations ?
