MRP released work order has the same start and end date

Release a "reschedule-out" recommendation. Job WO is released and the start date and complete date goes to the suggested due date.

Are the dates same because we do not have routing defined.

Is defining the routing only option to have the correct start date on the released work order for a MAKE item?

We have the fixed lead time defined for this Make item.

What will happen if cumulative manufacturing time is also defined? Will it have any impact? Will it cause the start date to come out right?
