Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Fixed assets automatic creation batch- next number skips around 1200 positions

Hello,

I am facing a huge problem concerning the automatic asset creation batch (R12800).

İ wanted to automatically create asset id's for a GL entry and the asset id number skipped from 1890 to 3250 (skipped around 1360 positions).

Why this is happening and how can I fix it?

I looked at the Next numbers and indeed the fixed asset next number now, after this automatic creation procedure is 3251.

Can İ modify the next numbers for fixed assets? What are the risks?

How can I correct the around 100 assets that were wrong corected already? (100% split could be extremelly hard to do for 100 assets ).
