How Table Partitioning can help performance improvements?

Hi,

Can someone share document for doing Table Partitioning, which Tables should be targeted and how it could help us boost the performance improvements.

We have database version 11.2.0.3 & Oracle Application version is 12.2.4 and modules implemented are SCM, Finance, iStore, Quoting, Discrete Manufacturing & Quality.
