perl adcfgclone.pl dbTechStack failing with RC-00203 Unable to write to file portpool.lst

I am attempting to clone a recently upgraded 12.1.0.2 database home using perl adcfgclone.pl dbTechStack

So far I am falling over at the first bit

I reply to all of the prompts  and then it falls over after checking the port pool

Report file located at /appsutil/out/portpool.lst

RC-00203: Unable to create/write to file /appsutil/out/portpool.lst.

Complete port information available at /appsutil/out/portpool.lst

RC-50004: Error occurred in CloneContext:

AC-00005: No write permissions for creating the Context file - /appsutil/temp.xml

Raised by oracle.apps.ad.context.AppsContext

Check Clone Context logfile /u02/app/oratmp/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/appsutil/clone/bin/CloneContext_0727144733.log for details.
