Invoice work bench quering all invoices

A particular user clicks on invoices to display the invoice Workbench, rather than the invoice workbench displaying "blank", invoices are automatically queried in the invoice workbench to display ALL invoices in the system. With this, it takes long time for the invoice work bench to open up. What could be responsible for this? Why would all the invoices start displaying automatically without querying invoices?
