7110 SAN Perfomance

We have noticed recently that response times on our database that resides on  a 7120, have deteriorated.  My networking group asked me if the data

on the san is reloaded periodically, or if there is some other type of maintenance that is done by the san software to eliminate 'white spaces', or that automatically

reorganizes the data.   We do not unload and reload our database.

We actually have two sans that are mirrored at the OS level (oel 5.9), and a question arose as how to identify the primary san ?
