Email Notification for Applicant's Status Change

Hello,

We are in 11.5.10.2, would like to know the possibility of setting an email notification to the applicants when he/she rejected for any particular vacancy. i.e when the recruiter changes the  application status to "Terminate Applicant" system status.

I know Rejection feature is available with R12.1 version but any technical advise or past experience on the same would be greatly appreciate
