Cost Center in OTL Payroll Timecard Layout

Hello Everyone,

What is the core purpose of Cost Center in Payroll layout ?

Even when we transfer the Time from OTL to BEE, only the Elements (Hours Type) go to BEE. In such case, what is the real importance of storing values in Cost Center while Time Entry ?

Where does the Cost Center value go in transfer process ?

Is it just for information purpose ?

Does it integrate with Cost Allocation Key Flexfield segments by any chance ?

Could you please help me in understanding this ?
