Invalid public synonym of a view - client is indicating that a query is taking too much time

Invalid public synonym of a view - client is indicating that a query is taking too much time.

I would like to know why is invalid, is this can be the reason of the performance issue with the query select * from <the view>  where tel=<'tel number'>;  , and how to fix this.
