Raising Service Request for Historical Serial number which does not exist in the system
Hi All,
We are in the process of implementing Oracle Teleservices, Installed Base, Service Contracts and Depot Repair and client location.
They have below requirement :
- We are migrating currently 5 years worth of historical data.
- There are products or serial numbers which are SOLD, 10 years back and they can come back for service.
- Customer would like to provide service for that OLD serial number.
- Serial number is not existing in the system.
Could you please let me know
- Is there a standard way of receiving the serial number which is owned by the customer so that we can raise a service request against it.
