is it mandatory to Change the default (file based) Credential Store to use the Oracle Database for sim 14.1 installation

we are able to install the sim 14.1 application but we are getting error while login as invalid username or passowrd or user in unathorized

1) we tried both the authentication ,ldap and database but we failed

2)we created security realm correctly, changed the config_system table value to correct authentication

3)we are not getting proper log in sim.log (do we need to enable sumthn for this?)

4)we installed it correctly ,only thing we missed is changing credentail store to oracle database (we didnt install MDS and OPSS schema)
