How to handle Machine buildning in a simple way using E1

We are a medical device company using E1 for discrete manufacturing.

At the same time we do also build our own machines for our automated asembly lines. Currently the creation of machine part list are handled outside E1 but e.g. we control spare parts for macines in E1 and use EAM for maintenance of our machines where part list are aded for the maintenance.

Machine building can be regarded as a specific project and next time the same machine is to be build different parts may be different from the previous versions of the machine. In most cases it will be possible to reuse the latest machine BOM with some selected changes.
