Project related COGS only project costing and manufacturing implemented

Dear Fellow Members,

This is a Manufacturing industry scenario implementing project manufacturing and costing. Cost will be collected as WIP and converted to COGS when the project is closed.

I understand revenue based Cost of sales extension if project billing is used but here revenue is recognized in receivable and billing is not used.

One approach was to directly enter a journal entry with Debit as COGS and credit as WIP. But We are looking for an automated solution and manual entry is not acceptable to business.

I tried from oracle SR or many other sources but i didnt get any suggestion toll now.  Any suggestion/approach from your expertise is really appreciable.
