allocating space on san 7120 using linux

does anyone have examples of how to allocate space on a san using Linux.

our san was originally configured by oracle, and we're at the point where we would like to start allocating additional  directories from our Linux servers.

unfortunately the original documentation that oracle left us has been lost, and i'm hoping someone can give us some examples of how to do it from Linux.

we actually have two 7120's that aren't clustered, so oracle did the mirroring at the os level, and if you have examples of how to do that we would be great
