Single time zone set in JDE across countries with different timezones

Hi Community

Does anyone have any perspective on how using a single time zone in one instance of JDE would affect all procedures i.e month end closings, customer facing documents-pack slips, statements& invoices, period cutoffs. We are proposing to implement a single time zone across Europe and North America using GMT as a base. We are aware that the server time will mark all transactions that are run on the server.  Does anyone have any view on this type of setup from a finance/manufacturing/distribution perspective?
