Custom export current date

Is there anyway to add the current date to a custom export map tag in OPPM 9.1sp1?  User wants to be able to have the date that the export ran with the data.  I could create a category that holds the current date but that seems silly to create a category and have it on each of the items (and subitems) in the database and have it update each day.  Could I use 'Today' in the custom export (like in a advaced expression for a calculated category)?
