Metadata Update

A staff created a wrong metadata which eventually got uploaded into the system but now I tried correcting it but making change in Planning and doing a refresh to send updated change into Essbase. Issue now is the error metadata is like stuck in Essbase How do I make this change in Planning reflect in Essbase? Planning version is 11.1.2.3.500
