Difference between 'Merge Matching Lines' and 'Transfer to GL' options in AAD

Hi,

I've been reviewing the Help pages on on eBS with regards to AAD options and I am now confused how the following are affected by different options. There seems to be 3 different settings with regards to whether detailed information goes from, say, AR, through SLA and into GL and they are:

- In the AAD you can set the 'Merge Matching Lines' to 'All', No' 'Dr/Cr'

- In the AAD you can set the 'Transfer to GL' to Detail or Summary

- In the Subledger Accounting Options you can set to 'No Summarization', 'Group By X' and 'Summarize by X'

I understand each point, but I am at a loss as to which take precedence i.e. if I set Merge to All, but Transfer to Detail and SLA Accounting Options to 'Summarize' what happens in each between AR, SLA and GL?
