Oracle 12c NON-CDB database creation

Hello,

We are on Linux x86-64 platform. I was able to successfully upgrade our test database from 11g to 12c.

We will be migrating  to a new server for 12c and I would like to try the "export tablespaces" method for the upgrade. I created a database in Oracle 12c and it created a database with a container ( id=0). Is it possible to create a NON-CDB database on 12c ?
