creating a standby database without adding a standby logfile

Hi everyone,

I'm gonna start some scenarios/discussions preparing to my beta exam 1Z1-066.

I hope that everyone will find a space to share his/her knowledge.

I've created a local physical standby database using RMAN without adding any standby logfile to the target database and it succeed ! and without forcing the logging on the database.

could anyone explain how the replication now is working ? ! how does the redo apply service is reacting ?

which option do I have in this case ?! can I change to Maximum Protection ?

can I configure a DG Broker ?

Primary Database:

V$ARCHIVE_GAP
