Enabling Full SSL deployment of Oracle EPM 11.1.2.4 environment to support TLS 1.1/1.2

Would like to know whether it is possible to enable Full SSL deployment of Oracle EPM 11.1.2.4 environment so as to support TLS 1.1/1.2 protocol. If yes, requesting guidance on how this can be done.

As per my understanding:

  • Oracle Hyperion 11.1.2.4 release runs on Middleware version 11.1.1.7 including Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) and WebLogic Server (WLS) release 10.3.6.
  • As per Oracle Tech Note, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 support is available only from OHS 12c. OHS 11.1.1.7 only supports SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0.
  • It is not clear from Oracle Support notes whether WLS 10.3.6 supports TLS 1.1/1.2.
  • As per Oracle’s certification matrix, Hyperion 11.1.2.4 is certified only with WLS 11gR1 (10.3.5 and 10.3.6) as the App Server and OHS 11gR1 as the Web Server. Hence, an upgrade to 12c is ruled out.
