Oracle 12c sid naming conventions

We are planning our upgrade to Oracle 12c. We were happy to see that a option in the upgrade it to rename sids. We would like to do this for a number of reasons and we were considering a convention a 6 to 7 character convention for traditional databases where the first 3 to 4 characters identifies the 'app' and last 3 char is its role in the landscape. for instance FINPRD, FINTST,FINDEV for financial production, test, dev.

However we are now thinking there should be some part of the standard to identify the sid as a container db, or pluggable db,  and perhaps identifying which container the pluggable is associated with.
