Primavera P6 Professional R8.3.3: software not responding

What is causing the software to frequently freeze up, requiring Task Manager to exit?

This is happening several times a day with loss of time and sometimes loss of data.

Nothing will break out of it, except starting Task Manager and forcing the software to close.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
