Does R12.2 support DEVELOPMENT MODE?

Hello Everyone,

I have found a Document in My Support called "How to Enable Automatic Compilation of JSP pages in R12 Environment (Doc Id: 458338.1)" that puzzles me.  The document describes how to setup the automatic recompilation of JSPs in R12.0 and R12.1, and then has a paragraph near the bottom for R12.2 that says:

Release 12.2 using WLS In Release 12.2 it's not possible to enable automatic recompilation of JSP pages.  The Enhancement Request 18187079 "REQUEST FOR COMPILATION ON TH FLY OF JSP PAGES IN RELEASE 12.2" (INTERNAL) was created but has been rejected due to restrictions that exist in the WLS layer for Production Mode.  Default configuration of Weblogic server in 12.2 is PRODUCTION MODE.  It is not configured for a DEVELOPMENT MODE.  Some of the development mode features are automatically turned off with this setup.
