pass the localized to subtemplate? possible?

I wonder if that possible.  I have a main template and subtemplate.  In the main template, it currently "hard code" the <?import:xdosxl:subtemplate.en.AU?>.  Is it possible not hard code the Language and Territory.. pass it as parameter/variable or pick up from the main template when user run the concurrent program?
