Oracle ASM dropped the disks before the disk repair time

Hello,

I have Oracle Rac 11G Standard installed on RedHat and I'm using the ASM connected to EMC Storage through EMC Powerpath. I have two sites and  I'm using normal redundancy in my ASM. My disk repair time is the default 3.6 hours. Last Saturday we have here a connection problem with one of the sites and the ASM has dropped the disk immediately after the writes error, not considering my repair time. So, because of my failure group was in that site, all my disks went offline and dropped (almost) immediately.
