restore/recover EE backup on SE?

Hi,

I have to do a migration of an 500GB 11gR2 EE Database on Windows to a Linux SE instance.

As fare as I know, the EE was just installed because of an unused EE license and is not required by the application.

I was planing to restore a backup and then keep the new instance up do date with applying the archive logs on a daily bases till the day of the migration and the just open the new instance.

As describe in

The downtime during the migration should be as short as possible.
