SNMP Authentication failures from unknown host
We have an element manager (Net-Net-Central NNC74) monitoring
both 4250 and 4500 SBCs,
On the EM I can see major alarms from our SBCs with a type
of ‘AuthTrap’ and a description of “SNMP Authentication failure”
So I am assuming an external server/device is trying to poll
our SBCs using SNMP, but is failing due to their IP address not being in the
snmp-community config , or the community-string is wrong, or a host-route config
is not configured
But the Alarm report on the EM does not show any details of
the external device i.e. the source IP address
When I log on to the SBC and check all the logs acmelog,
