Converting an existing database to TDE

We're using Oracle 11gR2 on linux.

We have a large (>10TB) database with many range-partitioned tables that we want to convert to use TDE.  My preference would be to perform a piece-meal conversion (say a month's worth of partitions each session) to minimize user disruption.  I'm familiar with the paper entitiled 'Oracle Advanced Security TDE Tablespace Encryption Implementation Guide for Oracle Peoplesoft Enterprise'.  However, it has a couple of problems with our implmentation.  First, it's specific to Peoplesoft, i.e., it requires editing to properly identify the tablespaces and artifacts that need encryption.  Second, it uses dbms_metadata.get_ddl to retrieve object creation scripts that are used to create
