Serial Number not appearing in Completion Transaction

1) There is a Rework Order for an assembly 'A'.

2) The component used is also 'A'

3) the component 'A' has been issue out with serial number 'SN'.

4) The requirement is to complete the assembly for the rework with the same serial number that was issued out

5) When trying to perform completion of this repair order, the Serial Number 'SN' does  not appear in the LOV at all.

On analysing the MTL_SERIAL_NUMBERS the current status of this item =4 (issued out of stores) and it is associated with the Rework Work order (mentioned in step 1)

Why am i not able to see the  same serial number 'SN' during Completion.
