How to Convert the BI Publisher report output from xls to xlxs?

Dear All,

We are using a BI Publisher report and generating the output in excel format but when we download the generated output , the size of the file is greater than 60 MB which is consuming more time while dowonloading  to local system or viewing it in browser.

We have used the option of Excel as the Default output type.Once  report is complted in SRS window and when we view output  we have observed that the default type the file is getting downloaded is in .xls format and when we save the file we observe the size o the file to be in hughe size.
