We are trying to differentiate planner orders from its pegged to, being it a sales order or a forecast demand, then the planner will do things differently.

We know that you can do it through pegging graphic too, but that's one by one and too much effort for the planner. If we could have demand priority value as a identifier to differentiate forecast or sales order, then it will be much easier for planner to sort the planned order out.

Then we find the following two profile options:

MSO: Default Forecast Priority

MSO: Default Sales Order Priority

Did assign them different values, and run data collection, run plan, but the demand priority value didn't change and these two options are not working.
