Connected Query Bi Publisher report not showing new column data

Problem Description

We are in the process of trying to add the VENDOR NAME to the BI publisher report APX1090 (Match Exceptions)  This is a connected query.  We have added the Vendor record to the appropriate query within the connected query, and it shows the vendor name in the resulting data. 

Next we adjusted the template so that it would include a column and field for the Vendor name. 

We went into BI Publisher report definition and tied this new template and set the status to Active. 

When we run the report from Accounts Payable>Reports>Vouchers>Match Exceptions the new column heading shows but the data under it does not.
