How to prevent MPS messages taking a long time to scroll through results

Is there a way to speed up / prevent the system from scrolling through all results (P3401 : Message Summary - MPS - Work with Message Summary) when a specific Planner and Message Type is selected along with a thru date set to + 1 week from today?
