Logic accounts

Just a simple logic account query:
To map one source account to two targets, is the best way to:
- create two logic items for the two source accounts
- in Mappings, put in the first Logic item as the source, to x as target? And the second logic item as souce, to x as target?
If this is correct, just wondered why you have to use logic accounts for this, rather than just putting two explicit normal mappings in?
