Is valid to skip compact phase on ASM rebalance when moving to Flash Storage System

We are planning to move our ASM diskgroups by adding new disks on Flash Storage System and dropping old ones. I know that compact phase can be disabled (Doc ID 1902001.1), but I can not find any document that support this on Flash. It is valid or supported do this when moving to flash according how Flash works
