Asset serial number update

Standard OeBS functionality doesn't allow to update serial number on capital/ rebuildable asset number.

However i have tried to update serial number on capital asset number through back end, by updating apps.mtl_serial_numbers and apps.csi_item_instances.


After tested standard system functionality for work order creation and processing till close out. And PM generation.

Errors or not standard system behavior were not detected. Did anyone else tried to update asset serial number?


We have real business need for that, because asset registry was uploaded with wrong asset serial number at go-live. Now equipment were purchased and serial numbers are known.
