Custom Attributes for OM : Generate Cost of Goods Sold Account workflow

Dear Experts

I have a requirement regarding OM : Generate Cost of Goods Sold Account workflow. This workflow generates COGS account defined on Order Type. But I have requirement to replace 3 segments defined on order header dff of code combination of COGS defined in Order Type. I want to ask is it possible to run this workflow using HEADER_ID? If not then am I able to create a custom workflow and use that workflow instead of this workflow?
