How to constrain Picklist in SIebel Home search applet or in Query Mode?

How to constrain Picklist in Siebel Home search applet  or in Query Mode?

I have a requirement where i need to constrain picklist on siebel Home search applet which open  in SI mode as siebel vanilla functionality. So i cant set Profile attribute to filter picklist . Is there any other work around for this ?
