Will MRP generate planned message when there is supply coming in within the lead time of the item?

Hello,

Consider my item which has a lead time of 5 days. I have a demand for 10 EA today and there is an Item Lot which becomes Effective tomorrow. Now when I run MRP, MRP generates a planned order for 10 EA and I have an excess of inventory for tomorrow since my Lot becomes available. Even if I were to act on the WO there is no way I can get the Item manufactured before my lot comes IN as it take 5  days to manufacture.

I would think MRP should NOT generate planned messages when it sees supply within the lead time. Am I right or missing something?
