Unable to edit Journals after Unfreezing the JE Source

We are trying to reverse a journal which got stuck with "Error7 - Showing invalid journal entry lines or no journal entry lines" during posting. This is because some accounts are end dated. Business wants to edit the accounts. We have unfreezed the journal source. but still not able to cheange the accounts as the form is still greyed out.

Please advise what could be the reason and possible solution? Verified note Doc ID 359502.1, no help.
