11.2.0.3 upgrade to 12.1.0.2

Hello, we will be upgrading our databases from 11.2.0.3 to 12.1.0.2 and have a few questions.

1.  If we do the upgrade and for some unforseen reason we need to revert back to 11.2.0.3, is it possible to do so? The document http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/UPGRD/downgrade.htm only states 11.2.0.4 so I wanted to confirm that we can use the same procedure with 11.2.0.3.

2. Our Grid Infrastructure (ASM) is also currently on 11.2.0.3.  Does that need to be upgraded first or can we upgrade it at a later date?  Hence, our databases will be 12.1.0.2 and ASM will be on 11.2.0.3.  Is this possible?
