EBS database upgrade from 11.2.0.2 to 12c

Hi,

Currently we have EBS R12.1.3  database running on 11.2.0.2.    We need to upgrade the database to latest EBS certified version of 12c.   This is our current hardware

RHEL 5.6   with 11.2.0.2  RAC

Proposed hardware

RHEL 7.0    with 12.1.0.2   RAC   (or latest certified version)

The proposed hardware is not certified for 11.2.0.2 database .    I am looking for options to upgrade the database  in new hardware as we cannot use the old hardware to upgrade the database .     Can we do the following in new hardware

1)  Install 12.1.0.2 RAC (2 node)

2)  restore 11.2.0.2 oracle home

3) restore 11.2.0.2 database

4) install 12.1.0.2 oracle database software

5) upgrade the database 12.1.0.2

Please let me know, if above option is feasible.   If not , what is the other option available to execute this upgrade.
