Adding product in the Product Favorites list from Quote/Order line item

Hello - I know product administrator can create product Favorites using product administration --> Favorites view OR Save the entire Quote as Favorites.

We are exploring following options. We use bundle products only

1. Our sales rep wants to add specific product in Siebel product Favorites from Quote/Order line items
2. Add products from product applet to Siebel product Favorites. We've created custom applet for product search. Rep wants to search using product name, child product name etc. We are NOT using product catalog.

In a nutshell we want to add product in Siebel product Favorites from different sources ( quote line item, product applet etc)
