Miscellaneous transaction ADJUST_OUT did not reduce on-hand

Hi ,

I did a Miscellaneous transaction ADJUST_OUT but that did not change the status of the Serial Number or reduce the on-hand .

On checking further i observed that the data got inserted in mtl_material_transaction and in mtl_Serial_number table group_mark_id column got populated which was null before this.

This group_mark_id is nothing but the transaction_Set_id from mtl_material_transaction for this record.

Can nyone help me explin where it could be stuck nd why ws group mrk id populted
