Transfer of Fixed Assets between companies on different instances of JDE.

Is there anyone that has come across the need to transfer fixed assets between companies that happen to be on different instances of JDE? We are looking for a way to resolve this issue without having to dispose of the asset in one environment and add it as new to the second environment. This process inaccurately classifies assets as disposed/new instead of as transferred in the system.

We are considering setting up a Z table process (bi-directional in-out) which will transfer assets. The process would include Mass Asset transfer. We are coming across the following issues and are wondering if anyone has been able to come up with a way of successfully recording the transactions with/without customization of apps.
